2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of personal information:

  Education history, teaching certifications, work experience, and skills.

• Background Check Information

  Information required to conduct background checks, including date of birth and government ID numbers.

AI-assisted features

Some features use artificial-intelligence services from Google (Gemini), Groq and OpenAI. These providers process the text a feature sends only to return a result to us, and they may keep it for a limited time under their own terms, for example to detect abuse.

Ask EverTeach, our in-app help assistant. Before your question is sent, we remove email addresses, phone numbers, Social Security–style numbers, dates and other long numbers from it, and send it together with excerpts from our help articles. The assistant cannot see your account. Please don't include personal details in your question. We keep the masked question, the answer and your rating to improve our help content; an answer we publish never includes your question or your name. After the retention period (currently 90 days) an administrator can remove the question text; the date and outcome stay for statistics.

Document and writing help. To save typing, some features send a document you upload (for example a résumé) or text you write to one of these providers so it can suggest field values or wording. These are suggestions: you or EverTeach staff review them before they are relied on. Health and medical documents, such as TB test records and health-screening reports, are never sent to these providers; you enter those details yourself.

Under the plans we use, these providers do not use your information to train their models. We do not sell this information or allow it to be used for advertising.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest

• Regular security assessments and updates

• Access controls and authentication measures

• Secure data centers and infrastructure

• Employee training on data protection

• Incident response and breach notification procedures
