Check the districts you are placed in

EverTeach places each substitute in a limited number of partner districts, and that number grows once you have been working with us for a while. Jobs from districts outside your placement do not appear in your list — the Your districts panel shows which ones you are in.

Look for a district that asks for something extra

A few districts ask you to acknowledge their own policies, and a rare one asks for its own fingerprint print. Its card says so — only then is there anything more to do for that district.

Check back after each item clears

Once your clearance is approved, jobs from every district you are placed in appear in Browse Jobs — there is nothing else to switch on.

Worth knowing
  • You do not need to apply for clearance district by district. If you want work in a district outside your placement, ask EverTeach rather than starting a new background check.
What goes wrong
  • Reading an empty job board as "there is no work". It is usually a clearance still in review, your placed districts, or a travel radius.
